About Mr. Grant

Mr Grant qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1984, and then completed a registrar training program in ENT in Dublin. He undertook a Masters Degree in Surgery, MCh, in London, before completing Senior Registrar Training in ENT at the Royal Free and Royal Surrey County Hospitals.

He was initially appointed to the post of Consultant ENT Surgeon to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in 1996, with special interest in both Rhinology and Head & Neck Surgery. He returned to London in 2001 to take up his current post as consultant ENT surgeon at Charing Cross Hospital and at Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals.

As Clinical Lead for ENT, he oversaw the amalgamation of the ENT Departments at Charing Cross and St Mary's Hospitals to form the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust ENT Department in 2009, where he continued in this role until 2011. He continues in NHS practice adult ENT practice at Charing Cross Hospital and paediatric ENT at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Mr Grant will be pleased to advise on management of all routine adult and paediatric ENT presentations and conditions. He has particular interests in rhinology, anterior skull base surgery, paediatric ENT surgery and benign diseases of the head and neck.

Consultations are held in up to date modern consulting suites integrated within a hospital setting with immediate onsite access to most if not all radiology services, audiology, blood testing and nursing and relevant support services.

Where indicated, Mr Grant is happy to provide a collaborative approach to complex disorders and participates in several Multidisciplinary Team settings, working with neurosurgical, ophthalmological, craniofacial and plastic surgical colleagues with a view to obtaining best outcomes. Further collaboration with neurology, respiratory, endocrine, radiology and general physicians similarly affords a route to best outcomes in accordance with best contemporary practice.

Paediatric ENT

Mr Grant provides a paediatric ENT NHS practice at Chelsea and Westminster, and carries out private paediatric ENT practice at the Cromwell Hospital. The Cromwell has its own paediatric out-patients, wards and operating theatre with dedicated specialist nursing and related support to ensure safety for your child.

Children of all ages are seen, and up-to date facilities and support services as well as general paediatric input is on hand where required. All routine paediatric ENT surgery is available including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, grommet insertion, tongue-tie release, sinus and nasal airway surgery.

Mr Grant has been an active member of Facing the World, a charity funded surgical team who undertake reconstructive surgery for patients from around the world with craniofacial deformities, and has been involved in complex cases both in London and in Vietnam.
